Understanding AI: AI, or artificial intelligence, is a branch of computer science focused on creating machines that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks can include recognizing speech, making decisions, understanding languages, and identifying patterns. Essentially, AI allows computers to learn from experience, adjust to new inputs, and perform human-like tasks. It’s transforming the VA industry much like computers did, taking some of the most mundane duties and completing them in record time.
Benefits of AI for VAs: As virtual assistants, we greatly benefit from AI. It not only allows us to run our businesses more effectively and efficiently but adds more scalability. Much like the use of computers, the best and most valuable VAs are the ones mastering the technology and being proficient in specific areas (niching).
Clients are overwhelmed with AI: They desire to use it more in their business so they don't become obsolete or antiquated. But, much like everything else, they lack the time to do this on their own, and hiring the right VA is their answer.
Ethical considerations: Whenever working with AI tools, it is imperative that the client is made aware from the very beginning. You should never be using AI tools and passing the work off as solely yours in any circumstance. In fact, you want to lean in and leverage AI. The right executive clients want to know they are using AI to their advantage.
