Being an introvert doesn't mean you can't be a successful networker: Most people think I’m an extrovert. I’m not. However, I refused to allow the uncomfortableness of networking in the beginning to bankrupt my business. You don’t have to be an extrovert to be successful. This means you don’t have to change who you are to be a successful VA. You will have to get out of your comfort zone from time to time, but you don’t have to be something you’re not.

Networking 1:1 is a game changer: I have had more 1:1 meetings for networking than anything else for the past few years. It’s absolutely sustainable and 100% efficient and effective. With 1:1 meetings there is nowhere to hide and no fluff during conversations. When you have 1:1 meetings both parties have to get to the point and quickly. While I may technically “meet” fewer people, my success rate is much higher.
